Hello! My name is Kennedy Powell, and I’m a Digital Media major at Texas State University with a strong background in content creation, video editing, and social media strategy. My interest in media started at a young age. As a kid, I loved creating and editing videos using apps like Video Star and posting content on YouTube. That early curiosity eventually grew into a passion for photography and videography that continues to shape the work I do today. As my skills developed, I transitioned into using professional tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud to produce more advanced visual and digital media.
Outside of client work, I’ve also built my own personal brand through social media by creating and managing a TikTok account centered around my dog. Through this platform, I’ve grown an engaged audience while gaining hands-on experience in audience engagement, brand partnerships, and social media storytelling. This experience has strengthened my understanding of how content can build community and connect with viewers in meaningful ways.
In addition to my media work, my recent work experiences have helped me develop strong communication skills and the ability to stay composed in fast-paced environments. These experiences have taught me how to work with a wide variety of people while staying organized, responsible, and adaptable.
I would describe myself as organized, creative, responsible, and independent—qualities that guide both my academic work and personal projects. Outside of school, I’ve always had a soft spot for animals, especially dogs, and enjoy spending time around them.
Ultimately, my dream is to build and run my own business. I’m hoping that my experiences in the Digital Media Innovation program, combined with the real-world skills I continue to develop, will help me turn that goal into a reality.

When it comes to listing things, I can be very indecisive. This is also another fun fact about myself. I am as indecisive as they can get. This is a battle i've been working on for a while! It's not the end of the world, but sometimes it can feel like it.
